The Autonomous Women's Center, in a comment submitted to the Republic Institute of Statistics, praised the general characteristics and content of the Draft Program of Official Statistics in the period from 2026 to 2030. The plan to increase the volume of activities compared to the previous period and the ambition to speed up the pace of changes, in order to harmonize the official statistics of the Republic of Serbia with international statistical standards, were especially praised.

The expectation was expressed that annual plans should contain concrete infrastructural and development activities, as well as elaboration of activities related to strategic and management issues of official statistics, which can be monitored and evaluated.

Special attention in the analysis of the Draft Program is focused on the area of ​​demography and social statistics. The intention to ensure an increase in the number of data displayed according to gender at the lower territorial level, the visualization of the said data, the intention to modernize the collection of data from surveys related to households and the improvement and expansion of the content of data in the field of gender equality was praised.

A review was also made of the program of crime statistics, research on gender-based violence, and the introduction of statistics by gender and relationship/kinship between the victim and the perpetrator and for minors was proposed, as well as the collection and processing of administrative data in accordance with the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence.

Suggestions were also given in relation to the proposals for sectoral statistics and gender statistics, and it was suggested that the RIS plans to create a Gender Equality Index according to the methodology of the European Institute for Gender Equality.
