With the appeal issuded to the MPs, Autonomous Women's Center has expressed concerns about the proposed Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Amendments to the Criminal Code because of provisions that could lead to a reduction in the achieved rights to the protection of victims of domestic violence.
"Therefore we ask you, as representatives of all the citizens of Serbia, while considering these laws, represent the rights of a third of women in Serbia who have survived or are surviving some form of violence from their partners or former partners or members their families, and don't allow the reduction of their rights to protection", was said in the appeal.
