GREVIO has launched the monitoring of the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on Violence against Women. Having adopted its questionnaire, which it will use in this process, this expert group published a provisional timetable for monitoring the Parties to the Convention for the years 2016 and 2017.
Out of the total of 21 Parties to the Convention, Austria and Monaco are the first two states that were chosen by GREVIO for evaluation. As regards our region, only Albania, Montenegro and Turkey are obliged to submit their reports in this period.
Civil society organizations working in the field of combating violence against women are also invited to submit information on the implementation of the Convention on the basis of this questionnaire. The obtained data will help to determine how and to what extent the Convention is applied in all Parties to this international treaty.
Autonomous Women’s Center has already collected and presented the data on application of the Convention in Serbia for the years 2014 and 2015 in comprehensive analysis and online database.
