Civil society organizations that provide support to women and children, including the Autonomous Women's Center, sent an Open Letter to the President of the Council for Creating a Stimulating Environment for the Development of Civil Society and members of citizens' associations and civil society organizations within, on the occasion of the BIRN report on the division public funds to phantom organizations for non-existent activities.
Civil society organizations, signatories of the Open Letter, request that a Council session be convened without delay, where the only item on the agenda will be the review of the data presented by BIRN on the distribution of public funds to phantom organizations for non-existent activities, and that the Council adopt conclusions and decisions in accordance with its mandate.
In the event that this does not happen, the signatories of the Open Letter propose that all representatives of civil organizations submit their irrevocable resignation from membership in the Council, in order to clearly express their position that they do not support the normalization and legitimization of corruption and looting of public funds.
The letter of associations and civil society organizations is open for signing at the link: HERE.
