Representative of the Autonomous Women's Center, Vanja Macanovic, had a speech at the international conference "Loud and united" in Brussels, organized by the European Women's Lobby on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Observatory on Violence against Women and Girls. The conference was attended by more than 350 experts, professionals, decision makers, activists for women's rights and activists from all over Europe. The conefernce was followed by street demonstrations.
"Standing here before all of you, I promise that we, current memebers, will continue to do our best for the Observatory to remain the space for sharing and building knowledge, highlighting advances and set-backs, identifying critical and emerging issues and reacting upon those. As long as one woman is raped, beaten, harassed, prostituted or killed in Europe, because she is a woman, the Observatory will be there and continue to do its work. Loud and united!" said Vanja Macanovic.
